Welcome to the HORNBY BUS

During July and August, twelve hours/day you can catch the Hornby Bus.  

Moving people, not cars is our motto.

Denman has the ScuttleBus, and who rides it?  ScuttleButts of course.  For a fun  tour of Denman or a scenic ride between ferries, check it out!  

BE AWARE:  The ScuttleBus is "dark" on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so don't go looking for a ride then.

Our Hornby Island water taxis are fast, safe, and convenient. 

Getting to Hornby Island has never been easier. 

Scheduled to line up with the Hornby Bus service.

Includes:

• Fully insured and equipped vessels with comfortable heated cabins and onboard washroom facilities
• 12 passenger capacity with ample cargo spac
• Transport Canada certified crew

 *every Friday, Saturday, Sunday from June 28th – September 1st, 2024. Special dates added: July 1st (Canada Day) & August 5th (BC Day) 

Access to Helliwell and Tribune Bay Parks, and also to the Whaling Station Bay neighbourshood.  The bus will make 3 runs a day to Whaling Station, Helliwell Park, and Tribune Bay Outdoor Education Centre.  Parking can be tricky in these busy areas, so save finding a spot by riding the bus! 

There is a bit of a walk from the bus stop if your destination is Helliwell Park, so be prepared to enjoy the extra hike.

Jon Laskin, from Hornby Island Bakery & Pizzeria, will randomly come onto the bus once/week and award a large pizza to some lucky rider.

There is a cookie "shoe" on the bus.  

When you get onto the bus, take a card.  

It will be redeemable for a free cookie at Hornby Island Bakery & Pizzeria.  

If you're lucky and get a JOKER - it's your choice of sweet treat.
